My recent visit to Southern California gave me the impression that I was in
China, not America. I feel like I've wasted my money making trip thousands
miles away from home only to land right in the middle of a mega-Chinatown!

Every where I went in Greater Los Angeles, I saw heap of Chinese. San
Gabriel Valley looks more like Hong Kong than California. Stores are all in
Chinese. Only Chinese language was spoken, no English! Libraries are filled
with Chinese books (though they put them under the label "international").
FromArcadia to San Marino to South Pasadena to Alhambra, the Chinese were
filling the city. Driving around these cities can be hazardous to your
mental health - not just physical one. The Chinese's driving reflect their
mentality and nature: dangerous obnoxious and pushy. They love to drive
Mercedes and BMW to show off their wealth while in reality, they have
destroyed the good names of these fine German cars. The Chinese think
driving a Mercedes would elevate them somehow in the American society.
Their stores are filthy and the restaurants are B- and C-rated (by the LA
county health department), with rat drops infested their chop suey and chow
mein. But they don't care because that's normal to them.

This is the Chinese culture the world would have to put up with. The
Chinese somehow get the idea that their large quanity (no quality) can
overrun any thing and any country they wish. Granted there are billions of
Chinese and they can fill every fox hole on this planet, their existence is
an annoyance to a civilized society.

Do you have proof of this claim ?

Fromrecords, I found, Temasek has only 170,000 employees
in Singapore and 48 other countries. Singapore has a working
population of over 2.5 millions.
For every Temasek business, there are other competitors....
For example, beside DBS bank, I CANNOT see how people
working with UOB, OCBS, Citi bank, HSBC, StandChart,
Malayan banking, Bank of China and numerous other banks,
eventually linked in some ways back to Temasek.

My very FIRST bill since AT&T took over was $20 a month higher than it
should be. I spent 2 hours trying to get their attention
on that SHITTY telephone system.
When I told them I didnt want their god-damn DSL or dialtone they finally
woke up and asked what it would take for me to stay
with them!
Told them to start billing me correctly again.
Then they hit me with the usual AT&T/Chingular bullshit. Told them I wouldnt
take one for FREE as I destroyed my last AT&T TDMA
phone and went with Verizon.
GOD DAMN AT&T.......avoid them at all costs.
The AT&T "motto".........
WE DONT CARE.......WE DONT HAVE TO.....WE ARE AT&T!

Silence the War Drums

by Ron Paul

Before the US House of Representatives, February 16, 2006

Mr. Speaker, I rise in strong opposition to this very dangerous
legislation. My colleagues would do well to understand that this
legislation is leading us toward war against Iran.

Those reading this bill may find themselves feeling a sense of de ja
vu. In many cases one can just substitute "Iraq" for "Iran" in this
bill and we could be back in the pre-2003 run up to war with Iraq. And
the logic of this current push for war is much the same as was the
logic used in the argument for war on Iraq. As earlier with Iraq, this
resolution demands that Iran perform the impossible task of proving a
negative - in this case that Iran does not have plans to build a
nuclear weapon.

There are a few things we need to remember when thinking about Iran and
this legislation. First, Iran has never been ruled in violation of its
international nuclear non-proliferation obligations.

Second, Iran concluded a Safeguards Agreement more than 30 years ago
that provides for the verification of Iran's fulfillment of its
obligation to not divert nuclear energy programs to nuclear weapons
development. Since this agreement was reached, the International Atomic
Energy Agency has never found any indication that Iran has diverted or
attempted to divert source or special nuclear materials from a peaceful
purpose to a military purpose.

But, this does not stop those eager for conflict with Iran from stating
otherwise. As the Washington Post reported last year, "U.S. officials,
eager to move the Iran issue to the U.N. Security Council - which has
the authority to impose sanctions - have begun a new round of
briefings for allies designed to convince them that Iran's real
intention is to use its energy program as a cover for bomb building.
The briefings will focus on the White House's belief that a country
with as much oil as Iran would not need an energy program on the scale
it is planning, according to two officials."

This reminds us of the quick move to justify the invasion of Iraq by
citing Iraq's "intentions" when actual weapons of mass destruction
could not be found.

The resolution's second resolved clause is a real misrepresentation of
the Iran/EU3 talks. The "efforts of France, Germany, and the United
Kingdom" were not "to seek...suspension of enrichment and reprocessing
related activities..." As the EU3-Iran Paris Agreement makes very
clear, the suspension of enrichment is a purely voluntary measure taken
by Iran and is "not a legal obligation."

This is similar to the situation with Iran's voluntarily observation of
the Additional Protocols (allowing unannounced inspections) without
legally being bound to do so. Suspending voluntary observance of the
Additional Protocols is not a violation of the NPT. But, those seeking
to push us toward war with Iran are purposely trying to connect the two
- to confuse voluntary "confidence building" measures taken by Iran
with the legally-binding Treaty itself.

Resolved clause four of this legislation is the most inflammatory and
objectionable part of the legislation. It lowers the bar to initiating
war on Iran. This clause anticipates that the US may not be successful
in getting the Security Council to pass a Resolution because of the
potential of a Russian or Chinese veto, so it "calls upon" Russia and
China to "take action" in response to "any report" of "Iran's
noncompliance. That is right: any report.

Mr. Speaker, this resolution is a drumbeat for war with Iran. Its logic
is faulty, its premises are flawed, and its conclusions are dangerous.

Desde hace algunos años, cada día me hago la misma pregunta: ¿Cómo es posible que el presidente de un país poderoso se considere cristiano, vaya a la iglesia y asegure que recibe mensajes de Dios, y al mismo tiempo ordene bombardear ciudades densamente pobladas, donde mueren por miles, niños, jóvenes, mujeres, ancianos y pobladores pacíficos, cuyo único delito es haber nacido en un país rico en petróleo?

Al ver por la televisión el documental 'El rap de Bagdad', que muestra cómo vivía, trabajaba y hasta reía ese pueblo, y cómo fue bombardeado criminalmente destruyéndolo todo; al ver el sufrimiento causado a ese pacífico pueblo, no puedo menos que pensar que quien ha ordenado esa masacre no puede tener vínculo con religión alguna.

Todas las religiones, sean cristianas o no, están contra la violencia y la guerra, Están a favor de la solidaridad, la paz, el amor.

No concibo que un devoto religioso envíe a los jóvenes de su país a asesinar y a morir en una guerra basada en la mentira, contra un lejano país que no era amenaza para nadie.

El señor George W. Bush afirma que esas guerras son contra el terrorismo; pero no es posible combatir el terrorismo con más terrorismo, porque se entra en una espiral que nunca termina.

Si realmente se quiere combatir ese mal es preciso eliminar las causas generadoras, no incrementarlas. La ocupación de países y territorios, los asesinatos de dirigentes, las masacres contra pueblos indefensos, no acabarán nunca con ese flagelo.

U.S. Christians Outraged Over Afghan Case

NEW YORK (AP) - Religious groups outraged that the U.S.-aided government of
Afghanistan might execute a man for converting from Islam to Christianity
urged the Bush administration Friday to help save him. Reports surfaced that
the man might be freed.

Abdul Rahman, a 41-year-old former medical aid worker, faces the death
penalty under Afghanistan's Islamic laws against converting to another
faith.

Rahman's trial, which started last week, has fired passions in conservative
Muslim Afghanistan and highlighted a conflict of values between Afghanistan
and its Western backers - including U.S. Christians who cheered the Bush
administration when it toppled the oppressive Taliban regime.

An Afghan government official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he
was not authorized to comment on the case to the media, told The Associated
Press that Rahman could be released "soon."

But even if Rahman's life is spared, some Americans see the episode as a
troubling threat to individual rights in a country where the United States
is promoting democracy.

"That there should even be such a trial is an outrage. How can we
congratulate ourselves for liberating Afghanistan from the rule of jihadists
only to be ruled by radical Islamists who kill Christians?" Family Research
Council president Tony Perkins said in a statement.

"Americans will not give their blood and treasure to prop up new Islamic
fundamentalist regimes. Religious freedom is not just 'an important element'
of democracy; it is its cornerstone," Perkins said.

Such sentiments are spreading through Christian radio stations, Web sites
and blogs, and were echoed by American Jewish and Muslim groups.

The Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish civil rights group, called the case an
"alarming example of religious persecution" and a "step backward" as
Afghanistan tries to emerge from the intolerance of Taliban rule.

As for Muslims, on Wednesday the Council on American-Islamic Relations urged
the Afghan regime to "order the immediate release of Mr. Abdul Rahman"
because "religious decisions should be matters of personal choice, not a
cause for state intervention."

Citing four passages in the Quran, the council said "faith imposed by force
is not true belief, but coercion." It consulted jurists with the Fiqh
Council of North America, which interprets Islamic law for North American
Muslims, in preparing the statement.

The American Family Association has organized an Internet campaign to
"e-mail President Bush and ask him to intervene to save the life of Abdul
Rahman. Help get others involved in saving the life of this Christian who
refuses to deny Christ."

If Rahman were to be executed, political experts agree, it would alienate
President Bush's most loyal core constituency - Christian conservatives.

"The Bush administration simply cannot let this happen," said Larry Sabato,
a University of Virginia professor and political analyst. "They have to stop
this one way or the other. It would make a mockery of much of what President
Bush has about our creation of a new democracy in Afghanistan."

Bush expressed alarm over the situation this week, and on Thursday,
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice phoned Afghan President Hamid Karzai,
seeking a "favorable resolution" of the Rahman case. She said Washington
looked forward to that "in the very near future."

Rice spokesman Sean McCormack said she told Karzai it is important for the
Afghan people to know that freedom of religion is observed in their country.

The Compass Direct News Agency, a group that monitors the persecutions of
Christians worldwide, reported this week that two more Afghan Christians
have been arrested and said more are being beaten and harassed by Afghans
riled over the Rahman case.
