The Dallas Morning News
President Bush says we will be in Iraq beyond his presidency. He tells us
we will be there until victory is achieved but cannot tell us what victory
is.
My son is home on leave for the first time in 18 months.
He has been to Afghanistan once and Iraq twice.
He is 21 and has the empty, soulless eyes of someone who has seen too much.
He talks vaguely of killing. He tells of recovering tanks and Humvees still
drenched with his buddies' blood. When he did guard duty, he told me,
"Don't worry, Mom, we aim low with the kids."
Nine in his unit have been medically discharged with post-traumatic stress
syndrome - and these are mechanics.
If you still believe in this president and this war, choose which of your
children will be the next to go.
I lost a part of my son over there. That's all you get, America.

en Cuba la libreta no ejerce un rol importante en cuanto a alimentacion se
refiere, dado lo inoperante que es, ya que no ofrece ni siquiera esa
CACAREADA ALIMENTACION BASICA DIARIA.
La realidad supera tragicamente a la utopia de esta excusa utilizada por el
gobierno cubano para mantener un ESTRICTO y FERREO CONTROL SOBRE LA
POBLACION Y EL MOVIMIENTO DE LA MISMA, de manera que sea facil identificar o
localizar a un ciudadano, al tiempo que no se deja espacio para proteger a
quienes huyan del sistema por razones politicas, ya que no hay que darles de
comer.
Otro tema que aqui no se trata. El gobierno ha visto en la bolsa negra un
modo de controlar la economia del cubano, puesto que al ofrecer alimentos
de primera necesidad a precios exhorbitantes, las personas que viven en Cuba
con sueldos ridiculos establecidos por el regimen, no tienen suficiente
dinero, de ahi que no dejan espacio para quejarse de no tener en que
gastarlo, y asi el gobierno, SEñOR Y DADOR DE TODO -LEASE NADA- es el que
quedaria denunciado iso-facto por la miseria en que se revuelca el ciudadano
promedio.
Es algo tambien sabido que esos mercados agropecuarios que comenzaron
optimistamente, hoy dia estan tan vacios como los establecimientos
congeneres que despachan con libreta. Si hoy tienen cebollas, mañana no y
pasado tampoco, de ahi que la gente sigue viviendo bajo una incertidumbre
absoluta que incita a la acaparacion cuando alcanza el dinero y a pasarse
las 24 horas de cada dia pensando como resolver la cuestion de la
sobrevivencia, de ahi que no queda tiempo para pensar en ideales mas nobles
o abstractos. No olvidemos que el hombre es un animal que necesita comer
cada 3-4 horas com promedio.
Pero vayamos mas alla. Los viejos que no cuentan con esos salarios, se
tienen que limitar a lo que llega a las desvencijadas bodegas y comprar la
miseria de cuota que les asignan al mes. No bastando con eso, hay madres
divorciadas que tampoco ganan tanto como para pagar precios de bolsa negra
para poder alimentar a sus hijos.
Y por ultimo, eso de que en Cuba nadie paga la casa ES UN CUENTO. En Cuba
se paga el 10% del ingreso total de todos los miembros de una casa que
trabajen y si no pagan, al usuario principal se le impone multas y se ven
perjudicados en sus centros de labor donde publicamente se le procesa y
condena, de ahi que se utiliza al mismo centro de trabajo para que le
descuente directamente al usuario las cuotas que haya dejado de pagar con
intereses.
La electricidad, tambien hay que pagarla y si bien con los apagones no creo
que sea mucho al final del mes, pero para una secretaria que gante ciento y
pico de pesos cubanos que al cambio con el dollar, (veintitantos pesos por
dolares), gana un sueldo de miseria, doce pesos de electricidad son
bastante. Realmente, una economia deslumbrante! Que rol model para las
demas naciones del mundo!
Y si, las escuelas son gratis, lo cierto fue que LO FUERON SIEMPRE, porque
Cuba se caracterizo por tener un sistema de escuelas publicas magnifico y
muchas escuelas de cuotas muy modicas, sin contar la Universidad de La
Habana cuya matricula por año no llegaba a los doce dolares, en la epoca que
el peso cubano estaba a la par del dollar americano y los institutos donde
cursar el Bachillerato cobraban mucho menos.
Es muy facil tratar de embutir a la gente como chorizos. Si la realidad
respondiera a las falacias que aqui se dicen, POR QUE LOS CUBANOS SIGUEN
CRUZANDO EL MAR EN BALSAS PARA LLEGAR A USA? POR QUE EL VIAJE NO SE HACE A
LA INVERSA Y LOS QUE DESDE AQUI MIENTEN DESCARADAMENTE, NO REGRESAN CON SUS
ILUSTRES FAMILIAS A VIVIR EN EL PARAISO CASTRISTA?

El 17 de abril del 1961, aproximadamente 1,300 valientes patriotas cubanos, miembros de la Brigada de Asalto "2506", desembarcaron en playas cubanas. Nuestra misión fue derrocar al regimen del dictador Fidel Castro y restablecer la democracia en nuestra Patria nativa. Sin embargo, la operación militar de Bahía de Cochinos, aprobada personalmente por John F. Kennedy, duró solamente tres días.
Después de 72 horas de contínuo combate y agotados, nos encontramos rodeados por más de 40,000 soldados enemigos, cientos de cañones de artillería, más de 50 tanques pesados, y abandonados por los mismos que nos alentaron, organizaron y entrenaron-barcos de Guerra americanos, con más de 2,000 marines abordo observaban impasibles nuestra inevitable derrota. Los aviones de combate americanos volaron sobre nuestras cabezas, movieron sus alas en señal de amistad, y continuaron su vuelo sin disparar una solo proyectil.
Reportes oficiales asertan que los brigadistas ocuparon y defendieron las posiciones asignadas a pesar de los continuos ataques enemigos lanzados contra Playa Larga y Playa Girón. Sin embargo, durante el segundo día, nuestras municiones se agotaron y tuve que desplazar las fuerzas que comandaba en Playa Larga hacia el Frente Occidental de Girón. Al mismo tiempo, la falta de apoyo aéreo hizo posible que la fuerza aérea cubana hundiera el Río Escondido y el Houston. Con esos barcos, se perdieron los suministros y armamentos que necesitábamos para continuar nuestra operación militar.
Al final del tercer día, sin suministros, sin municiones, y con 114 heróicos combatientes muertos, comprendí que nuestros "aliados" , a corta distancia de nuestras posiciones, no nos ayudarían. El 17 de abril del 1961, aproximadamente 1,300 valientes patriotas
cubanos, miembros de la Brigada de Asalto "2506", desembarcaron en playas
cubanas. Nuestra misión fue derrocar al regimen del dictador Fidel Castro y
restablecer la democracia en nuestra Patria nativa. Sin embargo, la
operación militar de Bahía de Cochinos, aprobada personalmente por John F.
Kennedy, duró solamente tres días.
Después de 72 horas de contínuo combate y agotados, nos encontramos
rodeados por más de 40,000 soldados enemigos, cientos de cañones de
artillería, más de 50 tanques pesados, y abandonados por los mismos que nos
alentaron, organizaron y entrenaron-barcos de Guerra americanos, con más de
2,000 marines abordo observaban impasibles nuestra inevitable derrota. Los
aviones de combate americanos volaron sobre nuestras cabezas, movieron sus
alas en señal de amistad, y continuaron su vuelo sin disparar una solo
proyectil.
Reportes oficiales asertan que los brigadistas ocuparon y defendieron
las posiciones asignadas a pesar de los continuos ataques enemigos lanzados
contra Playa Larga y Playa Girón. Sin embargo, durante el segundo día,
nuestras municiones se agotaron y tuve que desplazar las fuerzas que
comandaba en Playa Larga hacia el Frente Occidental de Girón. Al mismo
tiempo, la falta de apoyo aéreo hizo posible que la fuerza aérea cubana
hundiera el Río Escondido y el Houston. Con esos barcos, se perdieron los
suministros y armamentos que necesitábamos para continuar nuestra operación
militar.
Al final del tercer día, sin suministros, sin municiones, y con 114
heróicos combatientes muertos, comprendí que nuestros "aliados" , a corta

Partimos de la misma Plaza Cuba en la que organizamos el ÚNICO acto público
que se realizó en repudio a la presencia de Fidel Castro, en el mismo
instante que el dictador pisaba nuestro suelo.
La "Balsa sobre ruedas", réplica de las que suelen utilizar los cubanos para
fugar de la isla, recorre las principales avenidas, desde Plaza Cuba hasta
la embajada cubana, "exhortando a los uruguayos a recordar los frutos
amargos de un modelo socialista".
A medida que avanza el vehículo que transporta la balsa se van entregando
impresos que dicen: "imagine hasta qué punto llega el sufrimiento, la
angustia y la desesperación de una persona que, para escapar de un país en
el que sufre miseria y opresión, se tira al mar en cualquier cosa que flote.
Eso es lo que ocurre con miles de cubanos que tratan de escapar del régimen
socialista en pequeñas balsas como la que usted está viendo ahora. Ni la
policía política de Castro, ni su guardia fronteriza, ni un mar infestado de
tiburones, ni la fragilidad de las embarcaciones, ni los campos
inados -nada de nada- pudo impedir que, a lo largo de cuatro décadas,
millones de cubanos enfrentaran todos los riesgos para llegar al mundo
libre."
Sobre un fondo musical de melodías cubanas, se escucha una voz que dice:
"Quienes se sienten esclavos de un estado omnipresente como el cubano están
ansiosos de libertad y, desafiando la misma muerte, huyen en neumáticos de
camiones o en botes caseros como el que usted está viendo.
El riesgo de naufragar y ser alimento de tiburones, parece ser un mal menor
frente a la opresión comunista: la muerte aparece como una alternativa ante
el sufrimiento que produce estar sometido a un estado socialista.
Debemos recordar que el régimen cubano es modelo para la izquierda y es
visto con simpatía por la actual cúpula gubernamental aunque no siempre se
confiese con claridad.
Quien simpatiza con las dictaduras de Castro y Chávez necesariamente posee
una fuerte vocación totalitaria.
Quien se abraza con los dictadores, ofende a las víctimas.
NO a la cubanización de Venezuela
Importa también recordar que Fidel Castro, antes de confesarse
marxista-leninista, fingió ser demócrata, simuló ser católico, utilizó un
rosario al cuello y exhibió medallas religiosas en su pecho. Después, se
quitó la máscara e impuso a sangre y fuego la más cruel tiranía comunista y
convirtió a toda Cuba en una cárcel en la que cada habitante es esclavo de
un mismo dios-Estado que es el único propietario, el único empleador, el
único productor, el único educador y el único informador.

La palabra alemana "prohibido" muy repetida por los nazis a mediados del
siglo XX, ha tomado vida de nuevo en la triple dictadura que sufren los
cubanos en lo político-económico y social bajo el implacable, caprichoso y a
la vez criminal e intransigente yugo de su verdugo Fidel Castro en la mayor
de las islas del Caribe.
En Cuba, aparte del inconcebible atraso medieval en que su loco gobernante
ha sumido a su pueblo donde la gente anda hambreada, desesperada,
practicamente en harapos y ya increiblemente convertidos en casi su
totalidad en mendigos de tanques de basura que miran al cielo como buscando
un milagro ya que viven en una tierra árida sin recursos ni esperanza, donde
un diabólico payaso, al que no le importa que su pueblo huya de él al precio
de sus vidas, borró la prosperidad de su faz, destruyó sus campos, cultivos,
minas y centrales azucareros, aniquiló todo valor moral, patriótico, social
y económico y en su nefasto juego tratando de modificar hasta la Naturaleza,
ha tornado el país en un desierto donde ni la lluvia ya cae, existe, como ni
ya lo anterior fuera poco, el mayor número de prohibiciones y falta de
libertades imaginables en un país civilizado del siglo XXI.
Ni famosos dictadores de otrora como Francisco Franco en España, Augusto
Pinochet en Chile que tuvieron dictaduras políticas pero dejaron hacer en
otras esferas de la vida como la económica y social, se pueden igualar a
este monstruo del Caribe. Ni el mismo Hitler, que fue responsable de tantas
muertes en el mundo, dejó de respetar tanto al pueblo alemán como este
traidor a la nacionalidad cubana ha hecho, humillando y destruyendo como una
epidemia maligna a su propio pueblo y a sus valores con un cementerio
particular de más de 150 000 muertes a su haber y en su consciencia, entre
fusilados, torturados, eliminados, desaparecidos, ahogados en el estrecho de
la Florida intentando huir en balsa del castigo, volados por las minas de la
Base de Guantánamo, muertos en misiones "internacionalistas" entre otros y
con más de 2 millones de nacionales cubanos fuera de la isla, huyendo de su
garra mortífera de 47 años de absoluta esclavitud y penitencia para tres
generaciones de cubanos.
Un hombre que descaradamente no quiere reconocer que nadie toma una balsa,
sacrificándolo todo y se tira al mar para huir de una democracia pero que de
su infierno dan la vida por escabullirse. Un hombre con una fortuna amasada
en base al sufrimiento, muerte y destrucción de su pueblo y que no se
remuerde de ello. Un hombre que se deshace como en una olla de presión de
los elementos que sabe pueden desestabilizarlo, periódicamente inventando y
provocando oleadas migratorias masivas para su conveniencia. Un hombre más
diabólico que el Cardenal Richelieu experto en eliminar enemigos, en tejer
intrigas, en convencer y engañar. Ni dándole un disparo por cada centímetro
cuadrado de su cuerpo se podrá hacer justicia con un ser que no ha dudado en
torturar a todo un pueblo en vida para perpetuarse en el poder y un juicio
al estilo de aquel de Nurenberg se necesita para un justiciero ajuste de
cuentas.
Entre las innumerables prohibiciones que existen en este infierno que es
Cuba, se pueden citar las siguientes:
1- El pueblo no puede expresar sus opiniones libremente ya que si éstas van
contra del sistema
los "violadores" serás castigados con la cárcel y otras represalias.
2- Las estaciones de radio, TV, prensa plana y todos los medios masivos de
comunicación solo pueden transmitir y publicar lo que los asesores del
gobierno les orienten so pena de castigo.
3- Todas las manifestaciones del arte tienen que regirse por las
orientaciones políticas del Ministerio de Cultura que prohibe la libre
expresión y regula las mismas.
4- Es ilegal leer libros u otro tipo de literatura que el sistema entienda
que tiene "diversionismo ideológico" contra su doctrina
5- Es ilegal usar ropa que haga alguna alusión a algo positivo de los
Estados Unidos
6- Es ilegal ver televisión extranjera con antenas parabólicas construidas
al efecto o escuchar la radio de Miami.
7- El pueblo cubano no tiene acceso al internet
8- Es ilegal consumir carne de res ya que el gobierno no la suministra ya
que la tiene destinada solo para el turismo y si alguien la adquiere, la
vende o la consume puede ser castigado hasta con 20 años de prisión.
9- Está prohibido vender o comprar casas.
10- Está prohibido permutar casas
11- Está prohibido hacer enmiendas en tu propia casa sin un permiso del
gobierno
12- El pueblo no puede entrar a hoteles, playas e instalaciones turísticas
que están reservadas para extranjeros
13- No es recomendable relacionarse con extranjeros aunque sean de la
familia
14- No es recomendable cartearse o tener relaciones con extranjeros
15- Está prohibido vender o comprar comida a particulares sin autorización
del gobierno
16- Las personas con creencias religiosas son mal miradas y consideradas
como enemigos potenciales
17- Esta prohibido entrar y salir del país libremente aunque se posean los
medios para viajar
18- Las personas que progresan o mejoran económicamente pueden ser acusadas
de ostentación o enriquecimiento ilícito ya que todos, excepto la clase
élite dominante, deben ser pobres miserables.
19- Es obligado impartir una educación politizada.
20- Es obligado asistir a reuniones políticas tanto de los sindicatos en los
trabajos como de los Comités de Defensa en cada cuadra o calle.
21- Es obligado estudiar los discursos de Fidel Castro en centros de
trabajos y cuadras.
22- Es obligado asistir a desfiles y marchas políticas.
23- Es obligado asistir a todas las celebraciones políticas del régimen.
24- Es obligado asisitir a maniobras militares organizadas por las Milicias
de Tropas Territoriales.
25- Es obligado contribuir financieramente con las Milicias de Tropas y con
los Comités de Defensa.
26- Es obligado hacer guardias nocturnas en centros de trabajo y cuadras.
27- Es de asistencia obligada, cuando se programe, salir a limpiar la calle
o a desyerbar áreas verdes
28- Es ilegal buscar y traer comida como leche, carne de puerco o plátanos
del campo aunque sean para consumo familiar
29- Es ilógico y contraproducente el aspirar a un buen trabajo, posición o
carrera si no se apoya incondicionalmente al gobierno de forma concreta.
30- Es inaceptable ser imparcial con la ideología del sistema o "apático" en
la participación en las actividades impuestas por el régimen
31- Está prohibido formar partidos políticos u organizar cualquier grupo
opositor al régimen.
32- Es imposible aspirar a votaciones en elecciones libres
33- Está prohibido para los cubanos entrar o adquirir productos en las
tiendas para turistas.
34- Es obligado, a pesar de los pesares, desmentir todo este dolor y jurar
que es es feliz allí!
35- Es recomendable guardar en secreto los deseos o arreglos de irse del
pais para mantener
el trabajo, la escuela y la posición de cada cual para evitar represalias y
no morir de hambre antes de tiempo.
Es muy aconsejable echar las culpas de todos estos errores, imposiciones y
locuras del sistema a los Estados Unidos y mantenerse a flote con una
saludable doble moral hasta que aparezca una salida del país
segura y confiable que libre al cubano de su tortura siempre y cuando el
comandante siga vivo. De ahí que por la TV los latinoamericanos no cubanos
vean a "un pueblo combatiente" desfilando y se crean que van voluntariamente
y que apoyan al régimen y asi sigue el país, con un pueblo moribundo,
callado a la fuerza, con un exilio desorientado y dividido mal ayudado por
los americanos y con la indiferencia de la opinión pública mundial que está
impunemente presenciando el exterminio de una raza frente a sus propias
narices.
