Habshi,
Are you, like a child, saying the opposite of what you
mean? It just happens that I was talking with a person in India today.
He told me he is a Christian. In fact all three Hindus told me they are
in fact Christian when I spoke with the customer service representative
about my inability to connect with the internet.
Do you know that a professor in England asked his niece to stand in
front of the mirror with an apple in her right hand. The mathematics
professor who had a fetish about puzzles asked her in which hand the
little girl in the mirror was holding Newton's apple? She said in her
left hand "But if I was the little girl inside the mirror" said the
professor's niece "I would be holding the apple in my right hand."
That's how Lewis Caroll came to write Through The Looking Glass.

The US basically ended Iraq nuke program after the first gulf war. Destroy
Iran's economy and they will lose interest in nukes, same as Iraq.
You don't have to destroy or occupy Iran, just neutralize them.

Well, Iran has to get to somewhere to attack if no one invades. The US will
see and Iranians coming well in advance.
Cluster bombs have a way of denting one's enthusiasm for agression. JSTARS
means the Iranian Air Force will cease to exist if they come up off the
ground.

Everybody was afraid of Iraq in 1990 as the world's 4th largest army. They
were an empty shell.
Iranians have to have logistics to carry out an offensive. They ain't got
none.
If their air force goes aginst the US, they will lose. If their army goes
against the US they will lose. Their only option in a long slow guerilla
campaign.

Is that why Iran surendered to Saddam? Iran has a limited stomach for war.
Saddam taught them one thing...they can lose.
A war will not likely destroy the US economy...the Iranians have little
ability to affect it. But war can desimate the Iranian economy.

Once Iran becomes the source, they lose their airbases, power plants,
communications, etc, etc. One thing about Serbia, Kuwait and Iraq...the US
is now the most proficient at knowing how to conduct a war. Iranian
infrastructure will cease to exist in short order. Iran fought WWI against
the Iraqis...and lost.

That would be nice! Since PKK is a Maoist organization heavily supported by

It makes sense, Komin. After all there's no difference between
President and Massa Bush.
After Israel engaged in a policy of pre-emptive strikes and
assasinating Palestine's leaders and clerics Israel can't understand
why Hamas got the votes. Only Israel would have the brass balls to call
all the semitic peoples of the Middle East anti-semites.

I'd bet the neighbors were glad to lose a little sleep to see the drug
dealers operating next door get taken away. If yoru neighbors were
criminals, sitting there with seven guns between them and a large drug stash
some rivals might want to rob, wouldn't that make you just a *little*
nervous? Wouldn't you be rather *glad* when the police came and hauled off
the thugs you had living next door to you? And you no longer have a string
of criminals and drug addicts walking by your home every day on their way to
do business?
Oh, but holy shit, you might lose some beauty sleep the day the cops make
the raid. Oh how terrible!
How the fuck can you be that stupid?

That's an utterly stupid basis for any evaluation. Is it a better
"investment" if they pulled off the raid with *only* ten cops? Would it be
nine times better?
Of course not moron. You use overwhelming force when possible because then
the suspects are less likely to offer resistance. Safer for the innocent
neighbors, safer for the cops, and safer for the perps being arrested.
That's a win-win, you idiot.
Now go crawl back under your rock, and don't come back until you
miraculously grow a brain.

How about you try it and see how that works out for you. Even if you
had the testicular fortitude to try it, cops are better armed, better
trained, and more than likely smarter tham you. I believe the proper
description is "superior to you in every way".
The funny part is that you are one of these pukes that trash talks the
cops but is the first to call them if someone looks at you funny.

They were ecstatic: "At a Nov. 4 police commission meeting, a
train of furious and sobbing residents from the raided housing
complex -- all of them African American -- described how officers
slapped them, stepped on their necks, and put guns to their heads
while other officers ransacked their homes. Weeping and terrified
children, some as young as six, were handcuffed and separated from
their parents. Some urinated in their pajamas. (Police chief Fred
Lau told the San Francisco Chronicle that officers wanted to keep
the kids from "running around.")
Residents of the complex say the raid was a violation of their
civil rights. Scores of people with no charges against them and no
criminal records were put in disposable plastic "flex-cuffs."
Civil servants and grandmothers were held at gunpoint. One woman
was hospitalized after a fit of seizures; other people were so
distraught they couldn't return to work for days."
Do you even bother to read the stuff you cite?
All of this is a result of the fascistic "war on drugs." This
"war" is nothing but an attempt to violate people's rights, enrich
the criminal community, expand government police powers and
corrupt law enforcement. The criminals I fear are the ones on the
government payroll.

Sure. I wasn't originally making the point that this was the most well run
raid in the world, my point was that it wasn't a simple "some cop shot the
family dog for no reason" kind of situation. The OP's article didn't
accurately portray the incident, compared to the article I cited (and
summaraized).
Just because the neighbors didn't like the way the cops ran the raid (and
there were some questions at the time as to how many people *actually* were
detained by police at the time versus how many were *claiming* so a week
later, much like a bus crash), doesn't mean they weren't glad to see drug
dealing gang members gone from their midst.

The war on drugs is largely a waste and in broad terms a failure. Causes a
lot of unneccesary deaths, sure.
My point, nimrod, was that the incident was NOT what the article he'd quoted
protrayed: that simply a family dog was dragged out and shot in front of
the neighbords.
I notice you don't even bother to defend your nutty "grams of drugs per cop"
argument, so I'll assume you realize how silly that one was.

You don't need too much salt. Madsen tends to have pretty good sources.
If he's reporting that Dubya is going to try to destabilize Venezuela
using US missionaries and right wing fanatics trained in Florida, it's
probably a pretty safe bet that CIA is at the very least seriously
considering it. You'd think in the midst of a "global war on terror,"
destroying a democratically elected leader in Venezuela whose only
crime is selling Venezuelan oil at a price the Bush family considers
unacceptably low would not be such a high priority for them. But lets
face it, for his entire adult life the relationship between George W
Bush and the oil interests has been like the relationship between the
drill sergeant and Leonard in 'Full Metal Jacket,' with Bush being
Leonard. When he fucks up, or they want him to do something they smack
him across the eyes and remind him of who is in charge. "To hell with
terrorism you stupid maggot, we need you to juice the oil markets to a
hundred dollars a barrel. That's a hundred, Pyle!!! Nevermind Bin
Laden. Cheap oil is the real threat. Step and fetch, Chimpy."

The west is doomed . its population is collapsing as women
have just one child each . Britain will fall from 50m whites to just
5m by the end of this century. Hindus, Jews too have small families
not replacing themselves. Evolution favours the prolfic and soon Islam
will take over the planet as an aging west refuses to let its
vanishing children to fight .
excerpt telegraph.co.uk
Last year, it was after another khalvat that Ahmadinejad announced his
intention to stand for president. Now, he boasts that the Imam gave
him the presidency for a single task: provoking a "clash of
civilisations" in which the Muslim world, led by Iran, takes on the
"infidel" West, led by the United States, and defeats it in a slow but
prolonged contest that, in military jargon, sounds like a low
intensity, asymmetrical war.
In Ahmadinejad's analysis, the rising Islamic "superpower" has
decisive advantages over the infidel. Islam has four times as many
young men of fighting age as the West, with its ageing populations.
Hundreds of millions of Muslim "ghazis" (holy raiders) are keen to
become martyrs while the infidel youths, loving life and fearing
death, hate to fight. Islam also has four-fifths of the world's oil
reserves, and so controls the lifeblood of the infidel. More
importantly, the US, the only infidel power still capable of fighting,
is hated by most other nations.
According to this analysis, spelled out in commentaries by
Ahmadinejad's strategic guru, Hassan Abassi, known as the "Dr
Kissinger of Islam", President George W Bush is an aberration, an
exception to a rule under which all American presidents since Truman,
when faced with serious setbacks abroad, have "run away". Iran's
current strategy, therefore, is to wait Bush out. And that, by "divine
coincidence", corresponds to the time Iran needs to develop its
nuclear arsenal, thus matching the only advantage that the infidel
enjoys.
Moments after Ahmadinejad announced "the atomic miracle", the head of
the Iranian nuclear project, Ghulamreza Aghazadeh, unveiled plans for
manufacturing 54,000 centrifuges, to enrich enough uranium for
hundreds of nuclear warheads. "We are going into mass production," he
boasted.
The Iranian plan is simple: playing the diplomatic game for another
two years until Bush becomes a "lame-duck", unable to take military
action against the mullahs, while continuing to develop nuclear
weapons.
Thus do not be surprised if, by the end of the 12 days still left of
the United Nations' Security Council "deadline", Ahmadinejad announces
a "temporary suspension" of uranium enrichment as a "confidence
building measure". Also, don't be surprised if some time in June he
agrees to ask the Majlis (the Islamic parliament) to consider signing
the additional protocols of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty
(NPT).
