Ssssshhhhhhh!!!!! If you try to tell nelly that people are people,
regardless of race or religion, he'll have a logic overload and go
postal or something! If Gujarat is anything to go by that means he'll
run out and "heroically" rape, torture and murder every woman and child
he can find that is not being protected by someone that can actually
fight back!

SHEEN CHALLENGES GUARDIAN
Tuesday, March 28, 2006 - FreeMarketNews.com
Charlie Sheen sent a statement to The Australian regarding a column in the
London Guardian, which was syndicated all over the British commonwealth,
slamming the actor for his declarations about the unexplained
inconsistencies in official accounts of the bombings at the World Trade
Center towers in September 2001.
According to an online news site, Sheen begins with a challenge: "I dare you
to print this email in its entirety," and goes on to decry the "cut and
paste job" he says the Guardian column did. "[This] speaks volumes about
your credibility as a major media entity," he declares.
He terms the use of personal attacks on his own checkered background, rather
than addressing the subject itself, "transparent sandbox propaganda." He
urges the Guardian to "[d]o a little research on Building Seven, [which]
lives at the epicenter of my entire debate. Prove yourself worthy of genuine
investigative journalism. Look at the video evidence. Observe the same data
I have. Submit a formal request to the Pentagon or the DOD to release video
proof that flight 77 did exactly as they claim. You will be stonewalled. You
will be dismissed unconditionally. If there is nothing to hide - why are
they hiding it?"

YA OPERAN EN LA CAPITAL MEXICANA 10 CENTROS OPERATIVOS BOLIVARIANOS
Por Francisco Reséndiz - La Cronica - México D.F. (Enviado por LA NUEVA
CUBA)
apresuran a imprimir propaganda bolivariana pro Andrés Manuel López
Obrador
Villegas.
El dinero lo emplea de inmediato. No me dice nada. Vamos aprisa a Copilco y
compramos cigarros, cervezas y comida.
Margarita Irasema Villanueva Gallegos.
UAM.

a
venezolano.

a
Bien
resguardado y protegido estaba el "valiente comandante."!

I pointed out we can't secure Iraq's borders, using the best our military
has to offer.
How is that not on topic? It goes to our government's ability to secure a
border: which is not very good.

I've shown Morty to be wrong so many times, he ran off like a coward and
killfiled me. That way he won't have to see it when he spouts some
ridiculous bullshit and I post facts - you know, those things from the real
world - that prove him wrong.
Another dumbfuck who can't handle an actual argument, much less come up with
a cite to support his ridiculous assertions. He thinks if he puts his head
in the sand he can ignore the responses, and desperately hopes he can
convince others to do the same.

THEY HAVE GOT GAME- AND A HIJAB
Chicago Tribune, Feb 19
"We have all learnt to accept that" - Muslim students.
Duaa Hamoud holds a basketball to her hip. She is standing in a long
blue gown in a gym at Bridgeview's Universal School. Her head is
covered in a white scarf pulled tightly around her neck. Not a wisp of
hair is showing.
Around her, other high school girls dressed in similar flowing robes
shoot a few casual baskets while they wait for practice to begin. There
are no men in the gym-no male coaches, no boys from school, no dads
or brothers in the bleachers.
So when the coach arrives and the real training starts, they can peel
off their Islamic dress, exposing their sweat pants and short-sleeved
T-shirts underneath.
"We'd run if we noticed a man peeking in the window," Hamoud, 16,
explains. "We're not allowed to be seen by guys without [Islamic
dress]. We've all learned to accept that."
But the girls can't accept that they have only been allowed to
compete against girls basketball teams from other Muslim schools. There
are only four in the Chicago area, they complain, and their competition
isn't exactly tough.
Since last year they've been beseeching Coach Farida Abusafa, 26, an
English teacher who also coaches sports, to ask public schools and
non-Muslim private schools if their girls teams would be willing to
compete against girls from the Universal School.
The problem is the schools would have to agree to bar men and boys
above the age of puberty from watching the games.
"It's not like it's a sin to play a public school," Abusafa
said. "The problem is the males coming to the game."

UP-80-2004: THAILAND: Case of the killing of a migrant worker dragged
on by apparent delay of trial; Public prosecutor must speed up the
case
THAILAND: Impunity; violence against women; rule of law
Dear friends,
The Asian Human Rights Commission is seriously concerned by the
apparent delay of a trial of Ma Suu, a Burmese migrant worker who died
after being beaten and set on fire by her employers, Suchart and
Yuwadee Akkavibul in July 2002. The accused Thai airforce officer and
his wife had escaped justice for two years, because of the officer's
influence and position of authority. (See further: UA-91-2004)
According to the information we have received, hearings were held to
take evidence two times on July 26 and August 4 2004. After hearing a
number of witnesses and obtaining strong evidence, the public
prosecutor charged the accused, Suchart and Yuwadee, with murder,
confinement and harbouring an illegal alien, and the case went to the
full court on November 1, 2004 (Black No. 1089/2547 at Uthaithanee
Provincial Court).
However, the court delayed the trial by setting the next hearing in
January 2006 saying that the court needed to handle pending cases
before new ones, under a new procedure. Local human rights groups say
that some new cases will be delayed for about three or four years
under these circumstances. Ma Suu's lawyer worries that the case will
be weakened by this delay as it is not certain that witnesses will be
available at the convenience of the court over a year from now.
The AHRC calls for your urgent intervention into this matter. Please
send a letter to Mr Kampree Kaocharern, the Attorney General of
Thailand, and urge him to take prompt steps to speed up the case,
considering the brutality and urgency and the fact that the case has
already been considerably delayed before the accused is an airforce
officer. Please also urge him to take evidence from witnesses prior to
the next hearing in 2006 in order to prevent damage to the prosecution
case.
Urgent Appeals Desk
Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC)
UPDATED INFORMATION:
An 18-year-old Burmese migrant worker, Ma Suu, was brutally murdered
by her employees, Suchart Akkavibul and his wife Yuwadee, who set her
on fire alleging theft in Lop Buri Province, Thailand, in early July
2002. Two years after the incident on June 25, 2004, Suchart and his
wife finally appeared before the Uthaithanee Provincial Court.
However, they were given bail on the grounds that Suchart is a state
officer, although the prosecutor opposed bail. Suchart Akkavibul is a
special group commander in the Royal Thai Airforce.
The public prosecutor then applied to the court in order to take
testimony from the witnesses before the entry of the charge in the
court under Section 237 of the Criminal Procedure Code B.E.2477
[1928]. According to Section 237, when there are reasonable grounds to
believe that it is difficult for the witness to give testimony in the
future, the public prosecutor can apply motion to the court to take
his testimony promptly before the entry of the charge in the court.
The court received this application and hearings were held two times
on July 26 and August 4, 2004. Five Burmese workers who were employed
by Suchart gave their testimony at the hearings. Their names were
recorded as Mr Janai, Mr Chid, Mr Chai, Mr Nai and Mr Sang. At the
hearings, they testified that they saw that Ma Suu was severely beaten
by the employers. Some of them also testified that they saw her burn
injuries after the incident. Another Thai employer named Samrueng
Ponnikorn, who had been involved in the incident, also testified
against the two accused with the agreement that he would be escape
from prosecution. His elder brother, Kamron Ponnikorn has also already
agreed to testify in next hearing on the same condition.
Finally, the Public Prosecutor charged Suchart and his wife with
murder, confinement and harbouring an illegal alien under Sections 289
and 310 of the Penal Code of Thailand and Section 64 of the
Immigration Act B.E.2522 [1979]. The first hearing of the case was
held at Uthaithanee Provincial Court on November 1. Although the
initial progress looked good, the court set the next hearing for
January 2006. As a new hearing system was enforced a year ago, the
court needs time to handle pending cases filed in the old hearing
system prior to hearing new cases. However, local human rights groups
argue that enforcing the new hearing system is being used as an excuse
to drag on trial in some cases, and this case must be heard without
further delay due to its brutality and urgency. The accused Thai
airforce officer and his wife had already escaped justice for two
years, apparently because of the officer's influence and position of
authority.
A journalist working for the Voice of America is also scheduled to
give a statement in the next hearing. He is the person who recorded Ma
Suu's statement about the incident and took her photos when he visited
her at the hospital in July 2004.
Ma Suu's lawyer worries that the delay will weaken the case and the
accused will enjoy impunity in the end, as most of these witnesses may
not be expected to be available at the convenience of the court over a
year from now. The lawyer is also concerned that even though some
witnesses may appear in the court in 2006, the evidence of the case
will be destroyed because the accused is an influential state officer.
BREIF REMINDER OF THE CASE:
Ma Suu was brutally murdered by her employers, Suchart and Yuwadee
Akkavibul, who set her on fire alleging theft in Lop Buri Province,
Thailand, in early July 2002. Although Ma Suu sustained fatal burn
injuries, her employers abandoned her in a room without treatment or
food for three days and then dumped her by a roadside. On the early
morning of July 7, 2002, a man found Ma Suu on the road and sent her
to a hospital in town. However, she died nine days later, after
implicating the accused three persons;, Suchart his wife and Kamron
Ponnikorn.
SUGGESTED ACTION:
Please send a letter to the Attorney General of Thailand and urge him
to take prompt steps to speed up the case. Please also urge the
Attorney General to file the motion to the Court under Section 237 of
the Criminal Procedure Code B.E.2477 [1928], and take evidences from
the witnesses concerned prior to the next hearing in 2006 in order to
prevent loss of evidence.
Sample letter:
Dear Mr Kampree,
THAILAND: Case of the killing of a migrant worker dragged on by
apparent delay of trial; Public prosecutor must speed up the case;
(Black No. 1089/2547 at Uthaithanee Provincial Court)
Name of Victim: Ma Suu, 18, a Burmese migrant worker
The Accused:
1) Suchart Akkavibul, a special group commander in the Royal Thai
Airforce
2) Yuwadee Akkavibul, wife of Suchart Akkavibul
Case Number: Black Number 1089/2547 at Uthaithanee Province Court
It is with grave concern that I write to you regarding the apparent
delay of a trial of Ma Suu, a Burmese migrant worker brutally murdered
by her employers, Suchart and Yuwadee Akkavibul in July 2002.
According to the information I have received, at the first case
hearing on 1 November 2004, the Uthaithanee Provincial Court delayed
the trial by setting the next hearing for January 2006 despite the
presence of a number of witnesses and strong evidence ensured through
preliminary hearings.
This delay will weaken the case, as the witnesses concerned may not be
expected to be available at the convenience of the court over a year
from now. I am also concerned that the case evidence may be harmed due
to the delay by giving enough time and chance to the accused to
manipulate it. I would like to remind you that one of the accused,
Suchart Akkavibul, is an influential officer in the Royal Thai
Airforce, and he and his wife have so far escaped justice for two
years because of this.
I therefore urge you to take prompt action to speed up the case in
court. I also urge you to take appropriate steps to take evidence from
the witnesses concerned, with the permission of the court, prior to
the next hearing in 2006, in order to prevent loss of evidence.
Yours truly,

Keeping It Quiet: The Israel Lobby's Crushing of Dissent
by Charley Reese
The first weapon of choice for the Israeli lobby when someone with prestige
publishes a soundly researched paper or book critical of Israel or its
powerful lobby is silence. If it's a book, it rarely gets reviewed; its
author doesn't get interviewed. If it's a paper, there are no news stories
in the big corporate press, no interviews with the authors, no television
appearances.
For the average American who depends on the press to tell him what's going
on, it's as if the criticism never existed. The second weapon is, of course,
to launch vicious personal attacks.
Both methods are being used against an astounding paper titled "The Israel
Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy." It was written by two renowned academics,
John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen M. Walt of the
John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
So far as I've been able to determine with the help of Google, while the
paper and talk about it are all over the Internet, they are missing from the
big corporate press as of this writing. It was published in the London
Review of Books, and you can read it or download an edited version at
www.lrb.co.uk. There was one news story about it in the Christian Science
Monitor and an attack on it by David Gergen in U.S. News & World Report.
Gergen is editor at large of the magazine, which is owned by an ardent
Zionist, Mortimer Zuckerman. Gergen is a professional spinmeister who has
always served the people who have the butter for his bread.
The essence of the paper, which is thoroughly footnoted, is that Israel's
lobby has so skewed American foreign policy in the Middle East that the U.S.
places the security of Israel ahead of security for the United States.
"This situation has no equal in American history," the authors state.
The Anti-Defamation League was quoted in a Jewish publication as saying that
if the paper gained the attention of the mainstream media, then a "more
vigorous attack" would be launched. So far, it has not, though in the
Christian Science Monitor story one of the attack dogs of the Israel lobby
branded these two esteemed academics from prestigious universities as
"incompetents."
This paper isn't the first to criticize the Israeli lobby. There have been
lots of papers and books written by distinguished individuals, none of which
you've probably ever heard of. They Dare to Speak Out, by former Rep. Paul
Findley, and The Passionate Attachment, by George W. Ball, one of America's
most distinguished diplomats, are two that come to mind. It was the late
Sen. William J. Fulbright who first called Congress "Israeli-occupied
territory."
What the authors of the current paper hope to do is start a sensible public
debate about the Israeli lobby and America's policy in the Middle East. Of
course, avoiding an honest debate is one of the primary objectives of the
lobby. That's why it uses silence and, if that doesn't work, vicious
personal attacks. It has certainly buffaloed Congress and most of America's
news media.
Another author given the silent treatment as well as vicious personal
attacks is Norman Finkelstein, a professor at DePaul University. He's
written three outstanding books you've probably not heard of: The Holocaust
Industry, Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict, and his
latest, which got not a line of review, Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of
Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History. Finkelstein, by the way, is Jewish
and the son of Holocaust survivors.
This is a most serious issue and deserves an honest public debate. Whether
you agree with any of the above authors and academics, you should read what
they have to say and not be deterred by cheap ad hominem attacks.
You've heard the same message from me, of course, but I'm only a country boy
turned journalist with no fancy degrees. If you're impressed with
credentials, Finkelstein, Findley, Walt, Mearsheimer and Ball have them up
to their armpits.

Ex-Yukos boss gets new job in penal colony
12:19 | 01/ 04/ 2006

NOVOSIBIRSK, April 1 (RIA Novosti, Maxim Koshmarchuk) - Former Yukos boss
Mikhail Khodorkovsky is currently working as a packer at a sewing shop in a
penal colony in East Siberia, the jailed oligarch's lawyer said Saturday.
Natalia Terekhova said his previous job had been a seamstress' apprentice.
She said Khodorkovsky, serving an eight-year sentence for fraud and tax
evasion, had to continue working at the sewing shop to avoid punishment.
Terekhova added that Khodorkovsky and his lawyers had repeatedly asked the
colony's authorities to allow him to do academic work but their requests had
not been granted.
Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev were found guilty by a
Moscow court in May 2005 and sentenced to nine years in prison. On September
22, the Moscow City Court reduced their terms to eight years.
Khodorkovsky is serving his sentence in a penal colony in the town of
Krasnokamensk in the Chita Region, while Lebedev is at a colony in the
Arctic region of Yamalo-Nenets.

do.
supuesta
hidalguia española; algunos gobiernos latinoamericanos que invirtieron
en
Cuba para luego recibir , en compensación, el desprecio del tirano;
dinero a Cuba.
a

BAGHDAD: The pavements outside the American embassy here are peppered with
odd concrete structures. They look like oversized kennels, about four feet
high and six feet long, with a low wall at each end. Painted on them, large
letters explain their purpose - duck and cover.
This is deep inside the well-guarded Green Zone, but if mortar rounds start
to fall as you walk or drive by, these pygmy bunkers are where you and up to
10 people can squeeze in and crouch until the coast is clear. Like the
iconic image of the last helicopter leaving the roof of the US embassy in
Saigon in 1975 with terrified people struggling to clamber aboard, these
ugly shelters may eventually achieve similar symbolic status.
For Iraqis in Baghdad, duck and cover is already a metaphor for daily life.
On each of the seven visits I have made here since Saddam Hussein was
toppled, security conditions have worsened. The downward slide since my
previous trip for the December elections seems particularly steep.
Shops close their metal shutters and streets start emptying at 4pm as people
flee home well before the curfew. Many Baghdadis rarely venture out except
to the corner store. Those who drive to work vary their routes. A doctor who
uses taxis to get to her hospital says she tells the driver she's a patient,
"since it makes kidnapping a bit less likely".
Even shopping has become risky. Eight people at an electrical-appliance
store in the middle-class suburb of Mansour were lined up against a wall and
shot dead this week by masked gunmen. Two money-exchange dealers and three
other shops were also attacked by armed raiders in Baghdad. Whether the
motives are criminal or political, the result is terror and chaos.
Iraqis who work for the government or have jobs in the Green Zone are
especially vulnerable.
Soldiers in the national army and policemen usually go home in civilian
clothes. Some dare not tell their families, let alone their neighbours, what
their jobs are. Throughout Iraq policemen are dying at a rate of 150 a
month, yet new recruits never stop coming forward, attracted by the pay in a
rock-bottom economy.
Senior civil servants are key targets. Inspector-generals have the task of
auditing ministries for corruption and other abuses. Two of the 31 have been
assassinated, and at a press conference on Tuesday the two who came declined
to be filmed. The UN mission is back in Baghdad, working on human-rights,
constitutional-reform and rule-of-law issues, but it now shelters in the
Green Zone after the catastrophic suicide bombing of its old headquarters in
2003. As a result, contacts with civil society are more difficult, and the
UN is planning to build a video centre in town so that Iraqis can hold
conference calls with officials rather than take the risk of walking into
the Green Zone.
While the violence grows, the political deterioration over the past three
months is also remarkable. Iraq's elected leaders have failed to agree on
who should be the country's next prime minister and president, leaving a
vacuum of authority that is making Iraqis increasingly cynical about
democracy and eager for a strong hand at the top.
Relations between Iraq's Shia community and the Americans are at their
lowest point since the fall of Saddam Hussein. The group that stood to gain
most from his departure is turning on the US. Leaders of three rival Shia
factions united this week to condemn an attack on a mosque complex by Iraqi
troops with US support, in which at least 20 people died. The US military
claims the raid targeted militias and hostage-takers, but its explanations
came late.
Denouncing the action as a slaughter of innocent worshippers, senior Iraqis
had already taken public positions from which they could not easily retreat.
Shia leaders feel the US is undermining their election victory by
interfering in the choice of prime minister. Before the December elections,
US and British officials were giving firm hints that they hoped Ibrahim
Jaafari would be replaced by another Shia, Adel Abdel Mahdi, or if the
secular parties did well, by the former prime minister Ayad Allawi.
Recently, US diplomats have been careful not to express any choices, and
there seems to be no truth in claims by Shia politicians this week that Bush
sent a message to the leader of the Shia bloc via the US ambassador last
Saturday saying he did not want Jaafari to be prime minister. US diplomats
believe the story is being put out by Jaafari's rivals, who dare not
confront him personally but prefer to blame the Americans for allegedly
exerting pressure while privately hoping the said pressure succeeds.
When these games are over, and a new government is finally formed, the real
difficulties will begin. For the new parliament to reach agreement and pass
legislation on how to divide oil revenues and what power to allow the
regions will be even harder than choosing a prime minister.
Confronting the militias and re-establishing order are titanic challenges.
And all this will have to be done in the blinding heat of a summer in which
people only have six hours of power to run their fans.
There is some comfort for Bush. Iraqi troops are gradually taking the lead
in combined operations. This switch means that US deaths are down. Only 29
American soldiers died in March, the second-lowest monthly total since the
occupation began.
On Wednesday the US president proudly proclaimed: "Despite massive
provocations, Iraq has not descended into civil war, most Iraqis have not
turned to violence and the Iraqi security forces have not broken up into
sectarian groups waging war against each other." Condoleezza Rice and Jack
Straw will no doubt make similar points at their joint appearance in
Blackburn on Friday. When progress is defined in negatives, you have a
measure of how bad the situation is. The good news is only that things are
not worse.-Dawn/The Guardian News Service

a
Bien
resguardado y protegido estaba el "valiente comandante."!

So you think 600+ nuke tests have not had any geophysical effects in the
proximity of the San Andreas fault?
How man of the tests have been atmospheric?
How many of the tests have been underground?
How many tests have had the subterrainian downforce of the proposed new
technology that they may or may not be testing, according to the originator
of this thread?
When it comes to screwing around with forces that are anti-matter in their
very design, one miscalculation may be one too many.
Its a common fact that the composite blast force of a nuclear explosion has
a predominately multilateral footprint, and that its shockwaves accelerate
much more radiply outward, than upward.A little thing called gravity sees to
that.So if they are going deeper with a blast,it only stands to reason that
seismic shockwaves will travel further in their respective directions as
well.
And,while on the subject of the 600+ blasts, wouldnt you think that being
that close to such an erractic fault line, the government may be pressing
their luck? After all, modern science has a much greater understanding than
Edward Teller and Company did during the atomic age.

Prior to 911, they wanted china to proliferate nukes to pakistan so it
could go on promoting terrorism (against India) using nukes as a
sheild. Post 911 however, they have discovered that terrorists know no
boarders.
However its almost a certainty that if and when a nuke/dirty bomb goes
off in the world somewhere, pakistan will in some way be connected to
the perpetrators, directly or indirectly.
